Qigong Energy Healing Techniques - The Season Of Wood
Qigong Energy Healing Techniques follow many of the principles in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). These healing concepts have been around for centuries and are used for a variety of health issues.
The Five Elements of Chinese Medicine are Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Each element is associated with a season, and each season relates to an organ or a set of organs. In this article, we will focus on the Wood Season, the season of birth and how it relates to TCM and Qigong 5 Elements.
The Wood Season occurs in spring. In terms of our Emei Qigong Practice, spring season begins around February 4th. At this time, changes have already started. The days are getting longer each day, and nature is emerging from the hibernation of winter.

In 5 Element Qigong, the organs that are associated with the Wood element are the Liver and Gallbladder. The Liver is responsible for channeling energy throughout the body, while the Gallbladder assists with digestion and elimination.
During The Wood Season, these organs are especially active. As the energy of the wood season enters, it is helpful to consume foods that support the Liver and Gallbladder. In winter, it is best to consume warm/cooked foods. In the wood season, use green vegetables, grains, nuts, and seeds. Because our metabolism is changing, we can add some raw vegetables and salads to our diet. This goes along with the energetic essence of the wood season. Eating these foods helps to cleanse the body and detoxify the system. While making these changes, we need to be mindful of our digestion.
The Wood Season is a great time to focus on self-care. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this transition is also an important time for internal health and balance.
It is a time when we are ending our most Yin season, winter, and moving towards our most yang season, summer. The movement through the wood season creates new opportunities, beginnings, and hope.
Exercise Is Always Helpful. In the spring, we can start to add more activity to help strengthen the body and increase our circulation. Winter is a great time to follow the natural pattern of the energy, which is falling and gathering. The natural energy of the season of wood is opening and rising. This helps us facilitate a more active lifestyle.
Practicing Qigong Energy Healing Techniques helps to build our Qi. This helps to enhance our immune system and improve our overall health.

As each season changes it represents a new energy. For some people, this helps their overall being. With other people, it can present challenges. By understanding how we interact with the environment and nature in an energetic sense, we can make our bodies more efficient.
Emei Qigong’s Micro Trainings And Specific Qigong Exercises help with the transitional energy of the new seasons. This includes using Sacred Healing Sounds to support our organs. These Qigong energy healing techniques are easy to learn and incorporate into your life. We incorporate these techniques and much more as part of our weekly classes.
